event-detail-img.jpg

Kadampa  Monastery was establish recently in 2013. There are all together 110 smaller monks, aged between 6-18. but almost everyday new kids arrive so it could be more. It is located in Arubari. They mainly celerbrate Buddha birth day, Tibetan new year, and on the fullmoon etc.

They want volunteer beacuse they want to learn English and improve their English Language.

The Monastery  is near Bouddhanath Stupa. It takes around 30minutes  to get there by walking, 10mins in microbus.

Volunteer Schedule and Classroom

The students are grouped according to the time they have been at the monastery.  Their ages vary as do their English skills so it is important to be flexible in teaching.    Students are also responsible for cleaning and kitchen work so you may have students missing from class for more than a week and then return, having missed your previous lessons. With the smaller ones it is good to play english games that they remember colours or animals and  they are more interested in the lesson if you play games with them.
